This policy applies to all users, including customers, resellers, and end-users of resold services. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their end-users comply with this AUP.
2. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on our servers:
Illegal Content:
- Content that violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitation of minors
- Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
- Counterfeit goods or services
- Stolen data, credentials, or personal information
Harmful Content:
- Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, or other malicious software
- Phishing sites or credential harvesting pages
- Botnets, command and control (C2) servers
- Exploit kits or vulnerability scanners used maliciously
- Tools designed to compromise security of other systems
Infringing Content:
- Copyrighted material distributed without authorization
- Pirated software, media, or other intellectual property
- Trademark violations
- Content that infringes on patents or trade secrets
Objectionable Content:
- Content promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups
- Harassment, stalking, or threats
- Defamatory or libelous content
- Non-consensual intimate imagery
3. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Network Abuse:
- Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks or participation in such attacks
- Port scanning or network probing without explicit authorization
- IP spoofing or packet manipulation
- DNS amplification attacks or reflection attacks
- Unauthorized access attempts to any system or network
- Traffic interception or man-in-the-middle attacks
Email Abuse:
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam)
- Email bombing or mail server abuse
- Forging email headers or sender information
- Operating open mail relays
- Harvesting email addresses
Resource Abuse:
- Cryptocurrency mining without prior written authorization
- Running processes that negatively impact other customers or infrastructure
- Excessive bandwidth consumption beyond allocated limits
- Operating public proxies, VPNs, or TOR exit nodes without approval
- Reselling bandwidth or resources without authorization
Security Violations:
- Attempting to bypass security measures or access controls
- Brute force attacks against any service
- Exploiting vulnerabilities in our or third-party systems
- Social engineering attacks
- Password cracking or credential stuffing
4. Specific Service Restrictions
IRC (Internet Relay Chat): Operating IRC servers or bouncers is permitted but must comply with all other provisions of this AUP. We reserve the right to restrict IRC services if they generate excessive abuse complaints.
Game Servers: Operating game servers is permitted. However, servers must not be used for cheating services, account selling, or other activities that violate the terms of service of the respective games.
Adult Content: Legal adult content is permitted only on services explicitly designated for such use. All applicable age verification and record-keeping requirements must be followed. Content involving minors in any sexual context is absolutely prohibited.
Cryptocurrency: Cryptocurrency-related services (wallets, nodes, exchanges) may be operated with prior approval. Mining is prohibited without written authorization and appropriate resource allocation.
5. Resource Fair Use
Our services are designed for typical hosting workloads. The following guidelines apply:
- CPU: Sustained 100% CPU usage for extended periods may be throttled
- Bandwidth: Usage must remain within allocated limits; overages may incur additional charges
- I/O: Excessive disk I/O that affects other customers may be limited
- Connections: Reasonable connection limits apply to prevent abuse
Dedicated server customers have more flexibility but must still operate within the bounds of this AUP.
6. Security Requirements
Customers are responsible for maintaining the security of their services:
- Keep all software up to date with security patches
- Use strong, unique passwords for all accounts
- Implement appropriate firewall rules
- Monitor for unauthorized access or suspicious activity
- Respond promptly to security notifications from Digital Linx Hosting
- Remove any compromised content or software immediately upon discovery
Failure to maintain adequate security may result in service suspension to protect our network and other customers.
7. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to:

Please include as much detail as possible, including IP addresses, timestamps, and evidence of the violation.
8. Enforcement
Digital Linx Hosting reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to AUP violations:
- Warning: Issue a formal warning requiring immediate corrective action
- Content Removal: Remove or disable access to violating content
- Service Suspension: Temporarily suspend services pending investigation
- Service Termination: Permanently terminate services without refund
- Legal Action: Report violations to law enforcement or pursue civil remedies
The severity of our response will depend on the nature and severity of the violation, whether it is a first offense, and the customer's willingness to cooperate.
Emergency Actions: In cases involving illegal content, active attacks, or imminent harm, we may take immediate action without prior notice to protect our infrastructure, other customers, or the public.
9. DMCA and Copyright
Digital Linx Hosting complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Copyright holders may submit takedown notices to dmca@digitallinx.org.
Valid DMCA notices must include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- Identification of the allegedly infringing material with enough information to locate it
- Contact information for the complaining party
- A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate
- Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
10. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- All content stored on or transmitted through their services
- All activities that occur under their account
- Ensuring compliance by any end-users or resold customers
- Responding to abuse complaints within 24 hours
- Maintaining valid contact information
11. Reseller Responsibilities
If you resell our services, you must:
- Provide your end-users with an acceptable use policy at least as restrictive as this AUP
- Enforce your acceptable use policy against violating end-users
- Respond to and resolve abuse complaints within 24 hours
- Maintain accurate records of your end-users
- Cooperate with Digital Linx Hosting in investigating abuse
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Digital Linx Hosting from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of this AUP or any illegal or unauthorized use of our services.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
